Seattle Nurse Jobs Among Most Added
Friday, September 24th, 2010Those looking for Seattle nurse jobs may soon have better luck finding a position, as the city’s education and health services industry was among one of the four to add workers last month when compared to 2009.
During August, the Seattle area’s unemployment rate decreased to 8.4 percent after remaining at 8.6 percent for two months in a row. The latest decrease keeps the city’s rate below the national average of 9.6 percent.
The Seattle-Bellevue-Everett area had a total non-farm employment of 1,386,000 people during August, which is down from 1,390,000 workers during July and the same as last year, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
