Phoenix Sales Jobs in E-Commerce Growing

Phoenix sales jobs (Click here) related to retail e-commerce are continuing to grow along with the rest of the nation.

A recent report from comScore found that retail e-commerce sales reached $36.3 billion during Q3 2011, a 13 percent increase from last year. This marks the eighth consecutive quarter of yearly growth and the fourth consecutive quarter of double-digit growth.

“The third quarter of 2011 saw a continuation of the year’s strength in U.S. retail e-commerce spending, even in the face of renewed economic headwinds and uncertainty facing the U.S. consumer,” comScore chairman Gian Fulgoni said in a press release. “As we approach the critical holiday shopping season, we are optimistic about the continued health of the e-commerce sector despite other factors – including stubbornly high unemployment and volatile financial markets – currently weighing on the economy.

Gov. Jan Brewer and a number of other local leaders recently announced that the first ever Arizona SciTech Festival will take place during February 2012 as part of Arizona Science and Technology Month.

The six-week festival will feature more than 200 organizations from the arts, education, sports, business, and the community. The organizations involved will hold different events to show the public how science and technology are everywhere.

Sales Jobs in Phoenix Would Benefit form New Retail Plan

A proposed plan could create hundreds of sales jobs in Phoenix and throughout the nation’s retail industry.

The National Retail Federation recently unveiled its Jobs, Innovation, and Consumer Value Agenda - a plan that would support 41.6 million jobs and add $2.48 trillion to the nation’s GDP.

“The retail industry supports a quarter of our nation’s jobs and will continue to be at the forefront of our economic recovery,” Matthew Shay, president and CEO of the NRF, said in a statement. “This campaign aims to ensure that we do everything possible as a nation to support the vitality of the retail sector, in order to create jobs and continue to foster U.S. innovation and competitiveness.”

Sales Jobs Phoenix Arizona Supported by Increased Business Travel

Despite any concerns that the economy will slow business travel this fall, a new report found that will not be the case. This is good news for any occupation tied into the travel industry, including everything from sales jobs Phoenix Arizona (Click here) to hotel jobs.

The “Back to Business Travel Season” from Best Western found that a majority of people are still planning to travel for business reasons this year. That stability will support a number of jobs directly tied to the industry.

“Despite uncertainly on Wall Street, we expect to see a growing number of business travelers back on the road this fall as advance bookings at our hotels are up 8 percent this fall over last,” Dorothy Dowling, senior vice president of marketing and sales for Best Western International, said in a statement.

Retail Sales Jobs in Phoenix, Arizona Rank 45th

Those looking for sales jobs in Phoenix (http://lazboyjobs.com) may want to consider searching outside the retail industry.

A recent On Numbers analysis of data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics by The Business Journals found that 44 states and the District of Columbia lost a total of 823,100 retail jobs between 2006 and 2011.

Arizona was ranked 45th in the nation, losing 29,500 jobs over the five year period, a decrease of 9.18 percent. Retail jobs increased in only one of those years. The state had 292,000 retail jobs as of June.

Nursing Jobs Phoenix Supported by New Emergency Center

Abrazo Health Care is planning to open the new West Valley Emergency Center in Buckeye early next month. The new facility, which will create many healthcare-related employment opportunities, is the area’s first stand-alone emergency center.

The goal of the new center, which will be operated by West Valley Hospital in Goodyear, is to meet the strong demand for emergency care in the West Valley and provide better care to local residents.

Marketing Jobs in Phoenix Still Available

Although the city is not among the best in the nation, there are still plenty of marketing jobs in Phoenix to be had.

Forbes and Indeed recently unveiled a list of the top 15 cities for marketing jobs. Unfortunately, Phoenix was not included on that list, but that doesn’t mean Valley companies don’t need marketing professionals.

In fact, several companies in the Phoenix area are hiring for marketing positions, from hotel chain Best Western to online retailer Amazon.com to online reputation site Yelp.

Nursing Jobs Phoenix Supported by New Pediatric Neuroscience Partnership

The merger of two prominent children’s neuroscience programs could eventually raise the number of nursing jobs Phoenix has to offer.

Last month, St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center and Phoenix Children’s Hospital announced plans to combine their pediatric neuroscience programs and open the Barrow Neurological Institute at Phoenix Children’s Hospital.

“Our core mission has been to provide the best care for children with neurological disorders,” Neurosurgeon P. David Adelson, MD, who will lead the new institute, said in a statement. “This affiliation is particularly exciting because it immediately elevates the level of pediatric care locally as well as regionally.
