Los Angeles Education Jobs Get New Campaign

A new campaign hopes to raise awareness about low-performing schools and bolster Los Angeles education jobs.

The Partnership for Los Angeles Schools released “The Time is Now,” the first of three 30-second public service announcements, earlier this summer. The PSAs are part of a campaign to generate awareness about the crisis in the city’s lowest-performing public schools.

The PSA is the beginning of a six-month marketing campaign to get civic leaders involved with the Partnership for Los Angeles Schools. The campaign was created by FOX Sports West, which became a strategic partner of the Partnership after adopting Santee High School.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates that more than one of every 10 Americans - or 25 million people - suffers from chronic, disabling conditions that cause major limitations and decreased quality of life.

Oregon Teaching Jobs for Elementary Educators

Anyone who loves working with children and loves to share their knowledge should consider Oregon teaching jobs in elementary schools.

Elementary school teachers are responsible for teaching pupils in public or private schools at the elementary level basic academic, social, and other formative skills. In the near future, trained workers will have the best chance finding a job in order to fill replacement openings, according to the Oregon Employment Department.

During 2008, employment was estimated to be much larger than the regional average. Positions for elementary school teachers should grow at a slightly lower rate than the regional average, but there will be more job openings than the regional average.

Phoenix Education Jobs

Those considering a teaching career should look into Phoenix education jobs.

Most of the city’s public primary and secondary schools are operated by the Phoenix Union High School District. The district enrolls about 26,000 students and employs 2,800 workers throughout its 17 schools, according to Wikipedia.

PUHSD is known for attracting highly-qualified teachers and retaining experienced staff because it offers the highest teacher salaries in Arizona, as well as health benefits, professional growth opportunities and administrative support.

Fort Lauderdale Teaching Jobs

There are several places to search for Fort Lauderdale teaching jobs.

When it comes to primary and secondary education, Broward County Public Schools is the largest school district in the Ft. Lauderdale area, operating 23 public schools throughout the city. The 2007 Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test for public schools in Ft. Lauderdale awarded 10 of 16 elementary schools “A” or “B” grades, while one of four middle schools received that grade.

Three schools, including Sunland Park Elementary School, Arthur Ashe Middle School and Boyd Anderson High School, received failing grades on that assessment. However, none of those schools received a failing grade twice in a four-year period, making them eligible for the Opportunity Scholarship Program under Florida’s education plan.

Atlanta Education Jobs Supported by Stimulus

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act has created or retained thousands of Atlanta education jobs and nearly 10,000 education-related positions throughout the State of Georgia.

The state recently released a report detailing exactly how it has spent the federal stimulus funding it received. During Q1 of the ARRA, Georgia spent $701,567,169 and created or preserved a total of 23,879 jobs. The state has been awarded a total of $3,281,223,879.

At the beginning of the year, the White House predicted that stimulus spending would create a total of 3.6 million jobs throughout the country, with 106,000 of those jobs being created in Georgia. During September, it was estimated that so far about 1 million jobs had been created or preserved.
