Sales Jobs in Phoenix Would Benefit form New Retail Plan

A proposed plan could create hundreds of sales jobs in Phoenix and throughout the nation’s retail industry.

The National Retail Federation recently unveiled its Jobs, Innovation, and Consumer Value Agenda - a plan that would support 41.6 million jobs and add $2.48 trillion to the nation’s GDP.

“The retail industry supports a quarter of our nation’s jobs and will continue to be at the forefront of our economic recovery,” Matthew Shay, president and CEO of the NRF, said in a statement. “This campaign aims to ensure that we do everything possible as a nation to support the vitality of the retail sector, in order to create jobs and continue to foster U.S. innovation and competitiveness.”

Sales Jobs Phoenix Arizona Supported by Increased Business Travel

Despite any concerns that the economy will slow business travel this fall, a new report found that will not be the case. This is good news for any occupation tied into the travel industry, including everything from sales jobs Phoenix Arizona (Click here) to hotel jobs.

The “Back to Business Travel Season” from Best Western found that a majority of people are still planning to travel for business reasons this year. That stability will support a number of jobs directly tied to the industry.

“Despite uncertainly on Wall Street, we expect to see a growing number of business travelers back on the road this fall as advance bookings at our hotels are up 8 percent this fall over last,” Dorothy Dowling, senior vice president of marketing and sales for Best Western International, said in a statement.

Non Profit Jobs Should Strengthen Boards

We all know that the recent recession had a negative impact on many non profit jobs, but as the economy continues to rebound, the foundations that hand out nonprofit funding are looking for ways to ensure their investments are worthwhile, including strengthening boards.

A recent survey from The Chronicle of Philanthropy found that a majority of people think nonprofit organizations should do more to strengthen their boards, which serve as the backbone of most groups.

Some ideas to strengthen boards include everything from finding more grants and supporting board development to providing foundation-sponsored training and allowing foundation employees to help choose board members.
